ISO Definitions

Carrier

The trucking party responsible for physically moving the goods

Shipper

The party responsible for providing goods being shipped, oftentimes the manufacturer

Consignee

The party responsible for receiving the goods aka receiver

Facility

The origin or destination location of the shipment

Leg

Represents the complete path of the shipment, including the start and end stops

Task

Represents what is being completed at each stop, including what purchase orders are being picked up/dropped off and where
